Meet, Jennifer and Chris

We're a husband-and-wife team who have been married for nearly 30 years and have loved animals our entire lives. Over the years, we've shared our home with dogs, cats, birds, lizards, hamsters, fish, and even a turtle. Our passion for animals and our love of road trips led us to combine the two into something meaningful.

We treat every pet we transport as if they were our own, with the utmost care, love, and attention. Safety is our top priority—we use only 5-star crash-tested crates made in the USA, each one equipped with its own fan for comfort. To give you peace of mind, we provide real-time iPhone tracking so you can follow your pet’s journey every step of the way. As a thank-you, we also gift each pet an Apple AirTag at the end of their trip. We're dedicated to giving your furry family members the safest, most loving travel experience possible.

Our two terriers, Padme (our logo inspiration) and Leigha, a rescued Border Terrier, travel with us and help make the road feel like home.

We specialize in long-distance, cross-country transport and have driven to every U.S. state except Alaska and Hawaii. We love combining our passion for animals with our love of the open road, and every trip is a new chance to explore and connect.

We treat every pet like our own and make it our mission to bond with each one during the journey. We’ve shared laughs, cuddles, and even a few doggy kiss facials. For cats, we offer gentle comfort and calm to help them feel safe. Knowing we can ease the stress of travel for both pets and their people is what makes this work so rewarding.

I am the foster Mom to Jack. Jack was supposed to be transported to Washington by another transport company. long story short, Jack would not get on the original transport due to fear and high anxiety. I found Shake a Leg Transport on an app and reached out to Chris and Jennifer. I was so worked up about sending Jack on transport but Chris really spent a good amount of time explaining how the process would work. I booked the trip. when they showed up they were on time, well organized and most importantly, made Jack feel calm and cared for. After I said my goodbye to Jack, without hesitation he jumped into the van and went straight to his crate. I was beyond amazed.
