At Pet Commute, we understand that trusting someone with your pet—and your payment—requires confidence. That’s why we’ve launched our Scam-Free Guarantee program, designed to protect your money and reassure you that every transporter referred by us is trusted, verified, and backed by our team. When you book a transporter through PetCommute, you're automatically covered. If your transporter receives any part of your payment and disappears, fails to perform the service, or violates their own payment policies in bad faith—we will step in and refund you immediately. This program applies only to transporters referred directly by PetCommute and does not include payments made to breeders or pet sellers. While we do our best to help you avoid pet scams, we cannot guarantee breeder legitimacy. Always use caution and never send money without speaking with our team first. We’ve also built protections for our transporters—so they are not penalized when clients change plans or cancel after an agreement is made.
What Is Covered (And What Isn’t)
✅ Covered Under This Program:

Payments made to PetCommute-referred transporters who do not show up, cannot be reached, or disappear without completing the job.

Situations where the transporter violates their own stated payment terms and refuses a refund without justification.

Cases where fraud, impersonation, or false identity are involved.

Jobs where a transporter accepts payment and does not initiate any services (e.g., never books a flight, never picks up the pet).
❌ Not Covered Under This Program:

Payments made to breeders, pet sellers, or third-party sources not associated with PetCommute.

Non-refundable deposits clearly outlined by the transporter and agreed to by the client.

Client-initiated cancellations after a deposit or payment is made.

Disputes based on scheduling conflicts, changes of mind, or miscommunication where the transporter was willing to perform the service.

Delays caused by valid travel or weather-related issues, where the transporter maintains communication and intent to complete the service.
Terms & Conditions

This program only applies to transporters referred by PetCommute via direct contact, email, text, or official website/app listings. Self-sourced or external referrals are not covered.

Clients must report the issue within 3 days of the scheduled transport start date.

Proof of payment (receipt, screenshot, or transaction ID) must be provided.

Coverage is limited to the amount paid directly to the transporter for services not rendered.

This program does not function as insurance but as a trust policy from PetCommute to ensure transporter accountability.

Refunds are not issued if the transporter can demonstrate service preparation or client violation of their agreed payment/cancellation terms.

Transporters are protected against false scam claims. If the transporter provides valid documentation, photos, or communications showing intent to complete the transport, PetCommute will mediate but not automatically refund the client.

PetCommute reserves the right to deny coverage if false, misleading, or incomplete claims are submitted.
